On a rainy February night, Kimberly was working her regular Thursday shift at Ted's Montana Grill in Nashville, Tennessee when a group of musicians sat down for dinner at her table. Dave Thomson happened to be one of them. He had moved to Nashville from Canada a month earlier to continue his songwriting career for Sony and was not interested in finding a girlfriend. The group asked Kimberly if she wanted to meet them for a drink after she got off her shift and wrote one of their numbers down on a napkin. She hadn't planned on taking up the offer, but when she got home that night with no plans, she decided there was nothing to lose. Dave was the quiet one in the corner sipping his beer and when she approached him to chat, there was an immediate chemistry. 

Kimberly and Dave have been dating for almost two years and were engaged on December 17th, the day of Kimberly's Graduation from Belmont University. They currently own a home in Nashville, Tennessee and have two dogs, Jackson and Keeba. Both Kimberly and Dave are songwriters and work in the creative side of the Music Industry based out of Nashville and Toronto.

The international couple is engaged to be married on August 6th, 2010 in Naples, Maine (Kimberly's Hometown).
